Day 6 on the road, headed for New Mexico. My friend Sally is with me, towing my little Integra with her Ford Explorer across the country. We spent two relaxing days in San Francisco with my cousin Wilson, who was the perfect host! We picnicked in Golden Gate Park, spent a day at the California Academy of Sciences, the only place in the world with a natural history museum, planetarium, aquarium and a 4-story rainforest under one roof (check it out!), and just hung out and enjoyed each others' company over good food and wine. Then, after two long, hot days driving through the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, we arrived at my sister's house in Las Vegas yesterday afternoon. The weather is downright balmy at 97 degrees, and we are resting up for the next leg, enjoying time with family.
'Missing loved ones and the life I left behind in Eugene, but feeling generally blessed and grateful and looking forward.
More later!
